Since 1993, the agency has placed hundreds of children who are now blessed with families of their own. An Opportunity for Adoptive Parents to Complete Their Families
Hundreds of thousands of children are abandoned in orphanages in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. Many are abandoned because of their parents' poverty, others are truly orphans, and still others have had their parent's rights terminated by the courts.
International adoption offers an opportunity for prospective parents to complete their families. Many wonderful children are waiting for families who pursue this path. Yet, it is not for everyone. There is more paperwork, greater medical risks, and foreign discomforts than for domestic adoption. At the same time all risk is removed of birthparents coming back for a child. There are other benefits as well, such as experiencing the cultural background of your child and broadening your own cultural awareness. Examine yourself carefully and prayerfully before pursuing international adoption.
