Hoping to grow our family, we contacted The Open Door Agency five years ago. We could not have imagined that within three months we would be holding our new daughter. The circumstances that cause most families to decide to adopt are difficult to cope with and take a great financial and emotional toll, but at every point along the way you and your staff have been patient, understanding and accommodating. For me personally, the emptiness of not being able to have children is not immediately felt in the same way that it has been for my wife (I think this is generally true for most couples, but by no means all). I want to thank you and your staff for the way you have cared for, and shown that you cared for my wife’s needs. Of all the adoption agencies we contacted, only yours, and I mean only yours, was kind enough to begin immediately answering questions at the first phone call.
