ABOUT OUR FAMILY
In 2014 we adopted a baby boy. His name is Matthew and he has brought us so much joy! Adoption has been a greater blessing than we could have imagined and we hope to adopt another child and provide them with all of our love and support.
We met a few months after college graduation at our first jobs. Soon after we met we found out that we were born on the same day — the same year too! As it turns out, we had a lot of things in common: a love of the beach, music and the same Christian values. We started dating soon after we met, and we just celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary in June!
We were both raised in a Christian home and feel that it’s important to teach our children about Jesus and what it means to follow Him.
We always wanted children and over the years we struggled with infertility. But these struggles have only made our relationship grow stronger. We are so thankful for the blessing of adoption!
Both of us have graduated from college, Andy also has a Master’s degree, and we believe education is very important. The school district we live in is ranked as one of the best in our state. We will be committed to our children’s educational aspirations and we have already begun a college fund.
We’re homebodies and enjoy hanging out and watching TV, taking walks around the neighborhood (or hikes in the nearby park) and cooling off at the pool on a hot day. Going to the movies, concerts, the beach and baseball games are some of our favorite things to do!
I am the youngest of four kids. I am very close with my Mom. My Dad passed away in 2009 shortly after my parents celebrated their 50th anniversary. We live about 3 hours away from where the town where my Mom lives. My sister Patty and her husband Mike live in the same town as my Mom — about 5 minutes down the road. And they have two kids (Catie & Connor). My brother Tom lives near them in the same town. And my other sister, Cindy, and her husband Dave recently moved back from California and are about 30 minutes from me and Natalie. They have four kids — Grace, David, Stephen & Evan. Everybody is eager for a new cousin!
I work in finance and I’ve been with the same company for almost all of my career.
I am an only child and grew up in a small town about 2 hours from where Andy and I live. My parents and grandmother still live there and we visit often. My parents are excited about having another grandchild! I’m a Graphic designer and work from home part-time so that I can care for Matthew. I enjoy reading, going to the beach and baking for our church.
Thank you for considering us as parents for your child. We wish the very best for you and your baby and we pray that you receive all of the love and support you deserve. We will always be proud to tell your child about his or her birth parents and the incredibly courageous decision they made.
