Race: ,

Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about our family and for considering us as you make the difficult decision of who will parent your child. We hope that through this book, you will be able to see the deep love that we have for each other, our families, and our future child.

After struggling with infertility for several years, we were so very blessed when we were able to adopt Jay. We feel so honored to have been chosen by his birth mom. Our journey through infertility and adoption has overwhelmed, challenged, and broken us in the deepest of ways, and through it all, the Lord has been so faithful. He took us down a path we didn’t expect to go and used our struggles to show us the beauty in trusting Him and seeking His will above our own. God has made it abundantly clear that this is the life we were meant for and we couldn’t be more thankful. We have loved every moment of being Jay’s parents. He is almost two and ready for a sibling! We cannot wait to meet the child that God has chosen for us.

We want you to know how much love and respect we have for you already even though we haven’t even met. We cannot imagine how difficult a decision this is for you. We pray for you daily, specifically that you would have the strength and the courage you need as you journey through this process. We know that you want what is best for your baby, and we pray that you will find in us all that you hope for your child.

About Our Family

We met at church in 2010 while Lynlea was finishing college and Rex was beginning his career in the software industry. Our relationship was built on a mutual love for Christ and a deep, laughter-filled, friendship. Jay was born in June of 2017 and joined us in July. We love being parents and raising our family together. We both come from close families with multiple nieces and nephews. Family is extremely important to us and we are so excited to add another child to ours!

We love life and enjoy many different activities together. We’re very involved in our local reformed Presbyterian church where Rex serves as a Deacon, and we both serve in various children’s worship ministries. Alongside our pastor and his wife, we also co-lead a large Bible study for young adults and college students. We love to travel, laugh together, experience new people and cultures, play with our dog, and spend time with our close friends and families.

We live in a large, 4 bedroom house in a fast-growing town surrounded by mountains. We are ideally located in the midst of many wonderful parks, hiking trails, ski hills, and rivers. We love spending time outdoors with friends and experiencing all that this beautiful place has to offer.

We decided to adopt after much thought, prayer, discussion, and counsel. We have a strong desire to grow our family and love both the spiritual significance and practical beauty of adoption. After being chosen to parent Jay, our desire to grow our family through adoption has only deepened. We love that we have a unique opportunity to help our children honor their individual stories and hope that we can help them to see how God has been working in every aspect of their life, even the hard parts. We feel we have much to offer and can provide a loving, stable home with an extended family that supports our decision to adopt with excitement. We look forward to pouring our lives and hearts into the incredible child that God has planned for our family.
