Garrett & Claire
Barbara, After I got off the phone with you today, I said "that was Barbara" to the kids, and Garrett said "BaBwa" :) He kept saying it over and over. It was so cute. You would’ve loved it.
We feel so incredibly blessed by the amazing gifts God has given us in Garrett and Claire!! We are so thankful to Him everyday for the two of them. We had a dream for many years of being parents and thanks to Barbara, Open Door, and 2 amazing birthmothers in Guatemala our dreams came true! We could never have imagined how our lives would change in the past year. We watch the two of them together and our hearts are filled with so much joy. Claire still has the most contagious smile of any baby we have ever known and Garrett has eyes that melt our hearts. They continue to amaze us everyday and we love watching them change and grow and learn new things. It's an amazing feeling to look at them and see God's plan and how perfect it is!

Bryan
Bryan has taken a couple of steps on his own before diving into his daddy's arms. He gets so excited and tickled he can barely stand it.
I want to thank you for all you have done through this process--from letting us know about him to us going to bring him home. You are a wonderful, sweet lady with an incredible job!! This is truly the most blessed gift God has ever given us. We tell everyone the story and goose bumps and/or tears appear. You are in my journal and his life story book. I hope we will see you again. We will never forget you!!! You are in our prayers!!!

Claire
Every time I see Claire smile or watch her sleep and think about how her adoption has healed all our past disappointments, I think this is what "He restores my soul" means for me. God has surely blessed us and restored our faith and given us more happiness than we thought possible. It's so amazing to me how God can bring together one baby who needs a home with just the right family and is proof to me that God has a perfect plan for everyone.

Barbara and The Open Door Adoption Agency literally “opened the door” for us when we adopted our precious Elia from Guatemala. After years of struggling with infertility, this agency was truly an answer to our prayers. Elia came home to us on November 14, 2003 and it was a day we will never forget. She is completely full of life, and she has changed our lives in so many ways. Thanks to Barbara and The Open Door for making our lives so complete!
