The Children
The children who are available for adoption are placed in private and government orphanages for care after their birth and are given excellent nurturing as well as good medical care. Children from five years of age and older are available for adoption along with sibling groups and special needs children. Parents may select the gender of their child. Peru has many adorable children in this age range who are awaiting forever families.
The waiting children are in government orphanages. Most are in relatively good health, but may experience typical institutional delays. An Open Door offers adoptive parent training which will help parents understand the typical issues of institutionalized children, and how best to overcome them.
