We know you’re feeling overwhelmed and unsure of your next step. Before you go any further, we want you to know we are here to listen, to encourage, and to inspire you, without judgement or pressure, to make the right decision for you and your baby.
If you choose to place your baby for adoption, your counselor will help you arrange pre-natal care. We can also help with:
The agency will handle all legal matters involved in the surrender or termination of birthfather rights. We will handle every detail of your release and that of the birth father. You do not need an attorney, and there is no cost to you.
Your counselor can help you plan for your future. You may select a family from life books or photo albums showing the families’ homes and things they enjoy doing, to give you an understanding of the life they would offer your child. All of our families are wonderfully qualified Christian families who have been studied carefully to ensure that they would provide a nurturing and secure home for your child.
We’ll be able to help you with pregnancy-related expenses and necessary living expenses if the pregnancy disrupts your usual income such as from employment, a school grant, or support from parents. We can help with normal living expenses and with housing for you if you need to live away from home. Call and speak with a counselor who can help you with your plan of adoption and plan for your personal needs.
Medical Expenses: Most young women are eligible for Medicaid or medical insurance, and we can assist you in determining your eligibility. If you are not covered by Medicaid, An Open Door will help you register for Medicaid and ensure that your medical needs are covered. There will be no cost to you for medical expenses.
Attorney and Agency Fees: We will handle every detail of your release and that of the birth father. You do not need an attorney, and there is no cost to you.
We’re here for you now, and in the years to come. Adoption is a journey, not a single act. Our heart to serve you extends to the future.
