With all of our hearts we want to start by thanking you. Thank you for your courage, your selflessness, and your incredible love for your child. There is no doubt in our minds what an emotional time this is for you, but we are so awed by your strength, and we are humbled and honored that you are taking a moment to get to know our family.
We are a simple family who love the Lord greatly, and we find our utmost joy in loving each other, spending time with one another, and sharing life together. God has indeed called us to pour out our love upon our children, to serve and teach and care for them, and to enjoy this incredible gift of family.
Adoption was placed on our hearts as a couple about 5 years ago. We had an overwhelming gratitude for the children God had already given us, and we knew that if God allowed us to raise and love another, it would be a blessing beyond measure. We look forward to adopting a child of any race and to honor his/her heritage. Julie is biracial, and it is an important aspect of our lives to celebrate diversity and the beauty of God’s image through his creation.
We have a lovely home in an established and quiet neighborhood where we spend much of our time. Whether it’s Kevin’s traditional Saturday morning pancakes, playing outside on the swing set or riding bikes, or taking a walk on the nature trail behind our home, we just love being together. Kevin works from home and is always available to help us or give us some great Dad humor, and Julie enjoys teaching the kids, baking with them, games, art projects, or snuggling on the couch with the whole crew and reading a book aloud. We also love to adventure by exploring the world around us, nature and the outdoors, and an array of many different cultures. We road-trip often and love making memories together. The children are the closest of friends, and not only do they love having one another to play with, they are also thankful to be able to have one another to confide in, to be silly with, and to show love by helping and caring for one another. They love helping, and hugging, and kissing, and being a part of this big family just as much as we do, and we are so incredibly grateful for that.
Our local church is a diverse group of individuals and families that we’ve grown close to and spend much of our time with as well.
Above all, we are so thankful for life, and so thankful for you. Please know we are praying for you, and have been for many years, for the Lord to come alongside you in whatever decision you make for you and your child. We pray blessing and peace and favor for you and you consider what is best for your lives. And if you happen to choose our family to love your child, we all promise to do so without a hint of reservation; wholly, unconditionally, and unceasingly. And we promise to love you and honor you continuously in our family as well, because you will forever be a part of your child.
