Thank you for taking time to get to know us and considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We are sure this has been a difficult road for you, but we already have so much respect and admiration for you for choosing life for your child! Even though we have never met, we are praying that God keeps you and your child safe and healthy and that he will give you peace during these difficult decisions. If given the chance, your child will be raised in a home that reinforces not just our love for them, but also yours. We would look forward to sharing updates and pictures with you a few times a year, just as we do with our daughter Sophia’s birth mother.

Our promises to you:

  • To provide your child with unconditional love and never-ending support.
  • To bring them up with Christian morals and values.
  • To give them every opportunity to succeed and achieve their dreams.
  • To never have a shortage of hugs and love for the rest of their lives.
  • To be honest with them about their adoption story as they grow and provide any additional information or pictures that you would like them to have.

Our love story is a little different than most, although, probably pretty common in today’s society. We met on an online dating site in 2006 and got to know each other for a while. We decided to meet up for a movie followed by dinner at Olive Garden. We had an immediate connection! We laughed and chatted for hours. Shortly after, Matt was sent on a year-long deployment to Iraq. We spent that year not only falling in love, but becoming best friends through letters, emails, Skype and phone calls. We were married in the fall of 2008 and are still going strong! Our lifestyle is pretty routine, but can be described as laid back. Adoption has always been something we have talked about even before knowing we could not have biological kids due to infertility issues. Jodie has 2 cousins that have been blessed by adoption. In 2014, our daughter, Sophia, was placed with us right after she was born. We spent 2 days at the hospital getting to know her birth mother and extended family. What a beautiful experience that was! We are looking forward to being parents again and sharing those special moments with you.

Matt is a 40-year-old Caucasian male. He is 6’1 with blue eyes and light brown hair. He has a stable job as an officer in the Army. He holds 2 Master’s degrees and when he retires from the military (in 6 years) he wants to teach history at the University level. As you can tell, he has a passion for history and furthering his education. He enjoys reading, running, learning foreign languages, playing with Sophia and doing projects around the house. He is usually quiet until you get to know him and then he opens up. He is a great provider for our family and he is an amazing Daddy!

Jodie is a 40-year-old Caucasian female. She is 5’8 with blue eyes and brown hair. She is a stay-at-home Mom to Sophia and caregiver to our 3 pets (2 dogs and a cat). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing. She enjoys photography, baking, reading, traveling, finding community activities for us to do and watching scary movies. She’s a very caring and thoughtful person. She has a big heart for others and is a wonderful Mom!

Our Home:

Our home can be best described as a beautiful disaster! The first thing you will usually see when you walk in are toys…EVERYWHERE! And if I’m being completely honest, a sink full of dishes from the day before! That’s because we would much rather spend our evenings together after dinner playing on the porch, chatting or watching television together. We live in a beautiful 5 bedroom, 2-story home that has plenty of room for your little one to have their own nursery filled with their favorite toys and stuffed animals! We already have a room picked out and are working on setting it up once we know if we are adopting a boy or girl! We live in a very family-friendly and diverse neighborhood. You often see kids out playing and riding their bikes on the sidewalks. Our neighborhood also offers a fun neighborhood pool and playground. Not to mention all the fun things that are just a drive away to do! We can’t wait to expand our family here!

Sophia is our 6-year-old daughter that we adopted at birth. She is very active and loves being outdoors. She is full of sass and energy! She enjoys playgrounds, splash pads, going to church, riding her bike, being artistic, playing dress-up, Barbies and recently completed swim lessons! She is super excited about having a sibling and being a big sister!

We pray that God will give you comfort and peace as you go through the search of finding the right adoptive parents for your little one!
